AIR is an acronym for Attention, Intention, and Results. AIR is a way to shift from Victim Thinking to Creator thinking (another way to turn that frown upside down). Here's how:
Attention: When we are in a Victim mindset (think Dreaded Drama Triangle), our focus is typically negative and we put our attention on what we DON'T want. In contrast, when we are in a Creator mindset, we put our Attention on what we DO want, in a positive way.
Intention: When we are in a Victim mindset, we tend to focus on getting away from or getting rid of our problems. The flip side of that is when we are in a Creator mindset, we move toward our desired outcomes and invite them to manifest (think The Empowerment Dynamic, or Power of TED by David Emerald).
Ask yourself: Am I running away from a problem OR am I running toward a solution? A very good friend of mine once asked me that and it has helped me in many ways!
Results: When we are in a Victim mindset, we are reactive and results are often temporary. In a Creator mindset, our focus is on satisfying, sustainable, and lasting results. Often these are successfully achieved by taking Baby Steps!
This week's reflection: When faced with a challenging situation, take a pause, breathe in fresh AIR, and reframe your mindset and outcome.
