Got (another) Minute? Well, maybe two including reading this.
This week's One-Minute Module or "Gold Star Practice" is from the Integral Life Practice (ILP) Body Module and consists of three simple and easy steps:
Step 1) Grounding (the Causal Body): Stand up straight and tall with your eyes closed. Breathe naturally. Place your palms flat together in front of your heart. As you breathe, silently say to yourself, "I am the openness in which all things arise. I release to infinity."
Step 2) Energizing (the Subtle Body): Open your eyes. As you inhale, bring your arms down and interlace your hands together in front of your belly, breathing in the fullness of life. After a few full breaths, raise your arms up over your head, reaching toward the sky, speaking silently to yourself, "I breathe out and return to light." Bring your arms down to their resting position, interlaced in front of your belly, completing the circle, silently saying to yourself, "I am free and full."
Step 3) Strengthen (the Physical Body): Touch your belly with both hands as you deeply inhale and exhale. Speak these words to yourself, "Infinite freedom and fullness appear as this precious human body." Finally, as you are able, gently squat down and touch the ground with both hands as you say, "Touching the earth, I am connected to all beings."
Give it a try! Repeat as much and as often as you like. How was this experience for you? What did you notice? Feel free to practice throughout your day and week. It only takes one minute.
